Classic wild Damascus symbolizes the origin of this craftsmanship: the composition of different types of steel, specifically selected to combine their functional advantages to create a blade far superior to conventional mono-steel blades. Carbon content: 1.0%.
Maximum sharpness
and durability
The C100 blades are ground entirely by hand in order to be able to carve out the cutting layer perfectly and centrally. The double-sided, faceted hollow grind is a very demanding work step in terms of craftsmanship that requires skill and a steady hand. Only the best knifemakers with many years of experience carry out this work at the Nesmuk manufactory.
Origin of a
craft tradition
From fire welding and forging, hardening, tempering and grinding the hollow grind to assembling the handle. The production of a Nesmuk EXKLUSIV knife takes almost four dozen steps. The result is exceptional sharpness.
Corrosion resistant thanks to
Nesmuk Protective Coating
Thanks to the glass-like NPC coating (Nesmuk Protective Coating) developed together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology, the Nesmuk EXKLUSIV blades are protected against corrosion.
The cutting bevel of the blade is not coated. Therefore, you should always clean your Nesmuk EXKLUSIV knife after use. Clean the blade with detergent and under running water, dry well afterwards.
Hollow grinding on both sides for
optimized cutting ability
The 180 mm long, faceted blade with a hollow grind on both sides ensures reduced sticking to the material being cut and makes the knife an all-rounder in any kitchen. From the back of the blade with up to 3 mm of solid Damascus steel, the blade tapers from the center burr to a thousandth of a millimeter at the cutting edge: The double-sided hollow grind below the facet is created in 100% handcrafted in the Nesmuk forge.
Aesthetic and ergonomic
Ergonomic and solid handles for fatigue-free work: The design of the Nesmuk handle is as aesthetic as it is practical. For the wooden handles, Nesmuk uses only the best, often hand-picked pieces of exquisite quality. With wood as a naturally grown material, each handle is unique due to its individual grain, color shades and inclusions.
